Mains are bigger than branches. This 20mm PVC reducer steps the run down in a single fitting, saving you an adaptor and a coupling doing the same job in two. It carries a PN 10 rating and a solvent-socket connection. The material is light, rigid and solvent-welded rather than mechanically joined, so a properly made PVC joint is effectively a continuous piece of pipe.
